Formerly a dancer, Wyatt Townley, E-RYT, directed her own company in New York. She developed Yoganetics as a means of shifting the attention from the mirror to the world within. Her therapeutic technique has evolved over decades of teaching and a lifetime of study in the field of mind/body fitness.

Wyatt’s new book on yoga, Yoganetics: Be Fit, Healthy, and Relaxed One Breath at a Time (HarperCollins), received a starred review from Yoga Journal. Her work has been featured in Dance Magazine, Parents, Self, Cosmopolitan, Body & Soul, and The New York Times.

Wyatt is also a poet who explores the power of metaphor in her teaching. Regarding her video, Yoganetics: Relaxation and Basic Workout, Yoga Journal noted her “striking way with words, enlivening and intensifying her instructions with vivid images.”

Her latest book of poems, The Breathing Field: Meditations on Yoga (Little, Brown), is a fusion of poetry and art on the experience of yoga. It was chosen for the Top
100 Noteworthy Books list by The Kansas City Star, who hailed it as “outstanding....a breathtaking collection.”
